DUBAI, August 22, 2026 — The United Arab Emirates will host the Women’s T20 Asia Cup for the first time, with the continental tournament set to begin on August 28 at Dubai International Stadium.
UAE captain Esha Oza will lead a 15-member squad as the hosts prepare to face some of Asia’s strongest teams in the tournament, which runs until September 13.
The UAE has been drawn in Group B alongside former champions Bangladesh, Indonesia and defending champions Sri Lanka.
The hosts will begin their campaign against Sri Lanka on August 29 before taking on Indonesia on September 4 and Bangladesh on September 8.
All matches will be played under lights, with games scheduled to start at 6:30pm local time.
The semi-finals are scheduled for September 10 and 11, while the final will be played on September 13.
The UAE and Thailand secured their places in the main tournament after qualifying through the 2026 Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Premier Women’s Cup, held in Malaysia in June.
The tournament represents a major milestone for UAE women’s cricket as the country stages the continental competition for the first time.
