DUBAI- The UAE’s Industrialists Career Exhibition has surpassed its target of creating 5,200 employment opportunities for Emirati citizens, achieving the milestone a full year ahead of schedule and highlighting the success of the country’s industrial development strategy.

Speaking during the 2026 edition of the exhibition, Hassan Al Nowais, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, said the initiative has generated more than 5,200 jobs in the industrial and advanced technology sectors within less than three years.

Al Nowais noted that the exhibition plays a key role in supporting the Make it in the Emirates initiative and the National In-Country Value Programme by connecting Emirati job seekers with leading industrial and technology companies. The platform also provides career guidance, training opportunities and pathways for professional development.

The 2026 event attracted more than 4,500 job seekers over two days. On the opening day alone, over 1,800 attendees participated in more than 7,300 job interviews. More than 800 Emiratis received preliminary qualification for positions in fields such as artificial intelligence, engineering, advanced manufacturing, clean energy and industrial services. The vacancies were offered by more than 70 major national companies, with over 1,000 positions available.

The exhibition’s success comes amid strong growth in the UAE’s industrial sector. Since 2021, the sector’s contribution to the national GDP has increased by around 70%, while industrial exports exceeded AED 262 billion in 2025. Officials say these achievements reflect the effectiveness of national industrial policies in attracting investment and enhancing the global competitiveness of UAE-made products.

Al Nowais described the growth of the industrial sector as remarkable and emphasized that the exhibition remains a vital tool for aligning industrial expansion with the development of Emirati talent and workforce capabilities.
