Dubai Eid Travel Guide: Free Parking, Extended Metro Hours and Bus Changes Announced

DUBAi-As residents prepare for the Eid Al Adha holidays, the Roads and Transport Authority has announced special transport arrangements across Dubai to ease movement during the festive period.

The updated schedule covers public parking, Dubai Metro, buses, trams, marine transport, and customer service centres.

Free Public Parking During Eid

All public parking in Dubai will be free from Monday, May 25 to Friday, May 29, 2026, except for multi-storey parking terminals, which will continue to charge regular fees.

Extended Dubai Metro Timings

The Dubai Metro Red and Green Lines will operate on extended hours during Eid:

  • Saturday: 5am to 1am (next day)
  • Sunday: 8am to 1am (next day)
  • Monday to Saturday: 5am to 1am (next day)

Travellers heading to the airport are encouraged to use the metro for quicker access through Airport Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 stations.

Dubai Bus Service Changes

The Roads and Transport Authority also confirmed temporary changes to selected intercity bus routes between May 23 and May 31:

  • Bus Route E100 from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station to Abu Dhabi will be suspended during this period.
  • Passengers travelling to Abu Dhabi should instead use Route E101 from Ibn Battuta Bus Station.
  • Route E102 will operate only between Al Jafiliya Station and Zayed International Airport, without stopping at Ibn Battuta Station or Musaffah Shabiya Station.

Commuters are advised to check the S’hail app for updated bus schedules and timings during the holiday.

Dubai Tram Timings

The Dubai Tram will operate on the following schedule:

  • Saturday: 6am to 1am (next day)
  • Sunday: 9am to 1am (next day)
  • Monday to Saturday: 6am to 1am (next day)

Customer Happiness Centres

All RTA Customer Happiness Centres will remain closed during the Eid holiday. However, the Umm Ramool centre and smart kiosks located in Deira, Al Barsha, Al Tawar, Al Kifaf and the RTA Headquarters will continue operating 24/7.

Vehicle Testing Centres

Vehicle testing centres across Dubai will close from Tuesday, May 26 to Friday, May 29, with normal operations resuming on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

Marine Transport

Passengers using marine transport services are advised to check updated schedules through the official RTA marine transport platform.
