Colombian pop superstar Shakira and Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Burna Boy have officially released “Dai Dai,” the anthem for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The uplifting track, whose title means “Let’s go” in Italian, delivers a powerful message of perseverance, hope, and unity through football. Sung in multiple languages including English, Spanish, French, Italian, and Japanese, the song reflects the global spirit of the tournament.

All royalties from “Dai Dai” will be donated to FIFA’s Global Citizen Education Fund, an initiative aimed at expanding access to quality education and football opportunities for children around the world.

Speaking about the project, Shakira said the anthem arrives at a time when the world needs unity more than ever.

“When ‘Waka Waka’ came out, the atmosphere was totally different. Today, we live in a divided world where people need something that brings them together,” she said.

The singer, whose iconic 2010 World Cup hit “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” became one of football’s most celebrated anthems, explained that children’s education remains central to her mission.

“I’ve spent my life doing two things — writing songs and building schools. This World Cup finally brings those two paths together.”

Shakira also announced that she will donate all proceeds from the song to support the education fund’s goal of raising $100 million globally.

The singer is expected to headline the first-ever halftime show at the World Cup final on July 19 at MetLife Stadium. She will reportedly perform alongside Madonna and South Korean group BTS.
