United States President Donald Trump has said that Iran is in a “state of collapse” and is urging Washington to lift restrictions on its ports without delay.

Meanwhile, regional tensions remain high as Gulf leaders, meeting in Saudi Arabia, called on Iran to take meaningful steps to rebuild trust following what they described as “treacherous” attacks across the region.

In Lebanon, an Israeli strike in the south killed three emergency responders, prompting President Joseph Aoun to condemn the incident as a “war crime.”

Separately, the United Arab Emirates announced it will withdraw from OPEC on Friday, bringing to a close nearly six decades of membership in the oil-producing alliance.
