Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, has held a series of high-level phone conversations with international counterparts to address escalating regional tensions.

The discussions come in the wake of Iran’s missile attacks targeting the UAE and other countries, prompting urgent diplomatic engagement to reinforce stability and security across the region.

During the calls, Sheikh Abdullah spoke with Helen McEntee of Ireland, Paulo Rangel of Portugal, and Arnoldo André Tinoco of Costa Rica. He expressed deep appreciation for their nations’ solidarity and support, while reassuring them that all residents and visitors in the UAE remain safe.

The conversations also touched on recent diplomatic developments, including the announcement by Donald Trump of a proposed two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran.

All parties emphasized the urgent need for coordinated international action to de-escalate tensions and work toward a lasting peace. The exchanges highlighted a shared commitment to safeguarding regional stability through dialogue, cooperation, and collective responsibility.
