DUBAI, February 25, 2026 — The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has closed 12 domestic worker recruitment offices operating without the required licences and referred the cases to the Public Prosecution in coordination with Economic Development Departments across the UAE.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the ministry said inspection and oversight campaigns uncovered the violations, leading to legal action against the offending offices.
MoHRE also reported that it detected 300 violations committed by 57 domestic worker recruitment offices during 2025 as part of its regulatory monitoring of the sector.
The ministry said it will take legal, administrative and financial measures against non-compliant offices, including fines and potential licence cancellation in cases of repeated offences.
MoHRE reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring compliance with laws and regulations governing the domestic worker recruitment sector across the country.
