Dubai is poised to make global sporting history as it hosts the first-ever Women’s Triathlon World Cup on December 7, 2025, a groundbreaking event that marks a major leap forward for women’s sports.
Organised by the Dubai Sports Council in partnership with World Triathlon and the UAE Triathlon Federation, the competition will unfold on the scenic Dubai Islands and officially form part of the World Triathlon Championship calendar.
The event will include swimming, cycling, and running across three formats — Professional, Sprint, and Super Sprint — along with a unique team relay where three female athletes will each compete in one discipline. Registration is now open to women of all nationalities aged 18 and above via the official event website.
This milestone initiative supports Dubai’s vision to empower women and enhance their role in global athletics while cementing the emirate’s status as a premier international sports destination. According to the Dubai Sports Council, the event provides a world-class, inclusive platform designed to inspire greater female participation in competitive sports.
World Triathlon President Antonio Fernandez Arimany commended Dubai’s commitment to advancing women’s athletics, describing the partnership as a “transformative step” toward greater gender inclusion in endurance disciplines.
Seen as a catalyst for future women-focused international sporting events, the Women’s Triathlon World Cup – Dubai 2025 reaffirms the UAE’s growing influence in shaping a more inclusive and progressive global sports landscape.
