The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a yellow weather alert for Wednesday, warning of dusty conditions and possible rainfall across parts of the UAE. The alert, in effect until 9 PM tonight, cautions residents about reduced visibility—potentially dropping below 2,000 meters—and urges motorists to drive carefully.
According to the NCM, the country will experience a shift in weather patterns today, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and a gradual drop in temperatures. Light to moderate rain is expected, particularly over the Al Dhafrah region.
Temperature update:
Daytime highs will reach around 36°C, while nighttime lows could dip to 17°C in inland and mountainous areas. Dubai started the day with sunny, windy conditions at 26°C, while the coldest reading yesterday was 15.4°C in Mezaira (Al Dhafra) at 6:15 AM.
Wind and sea forecast:
Winds will blow between 10–25 km/h, occasionally strengthening up to 40 km/h in exposed areas, stirring up dust and sand that contribute to low visibility. Conditions are expected to ease after sunset.
Humidity levels may rise to 85% overnight, possibly leading to mist or fog formation in some regions.
At sea, the Arabian Gulf will be moderate to slight, while the Oman Sea will remain slight to moderate, though brief fluctuations may occur during stronger gusts.
Overall, residents are advised to stay alert, limit outdoor activities during dusty periods, and monitor NCM updates throughout the day.
