The UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism has approved new and revised fees for 28 trademark services to strengthen the nation’s intellectual property framework and attract global investors. The update introduces seven new categories, including a one-day trademark examination (AED 2,250) and registration of geographical indications (AED 6,500).
SMEs will receive a 50% fee exemption, while People of Determination are fully exempt. Minister Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri said the move aims to enhance service quality and efficiency, following a 129% rise in trademark registrations in the first half of 2025.
The decision supports the “We the UAE 2031” vision to position the UAE as a global innovation and entrepreneurship hub.
