KUWAIT CITY: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, to reaffirm the deep-rooted fraternal relations between their countries and explore ways to enhance cooperation, particularly in the development and economic sectors, to advance shared interests and promote prosperity for both nations.
The meeting took place at Bayan Palace as part of the UAE President’s fraternal visit to Kuwait. The Emir of Kuwait warmly welcomed His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, with both leaders exchanging cordial greetings that reflected the close bonds between their peoples.
During their discussions, the two leaders addressed a range of regional and international developments, with a focus on the situation in the Middle East. They reiterated their support for all initiatives aimed at achieving a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, stressing that a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution remains the only viable path to lasting regional stability and the realization of the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people.
They also emphasized the importance of building on the growing international recognition of the State of Palestine to bolster efforts toward peace and stability.
The two sides further reviewed the progress of Gulf cooperation, reaffirming their shared commitment to strengthening the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and advancing the development goals of its member states.
Following the talks, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah hosted a luncheon in honor of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and the accompanying delegation.
The meeting and luncheon were attended by several senior UAE and Kuwaiti leaders, including His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court; H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan; as well as Kuwait’s Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
At the conclusion of his visit, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan departed Kuwait and was bid farewell by the Crown Prince and senior Kuwaiti officials.
