The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has launched an AI-powered Human Resources Assistant, marking a major step in the UAE’s drive to integrate artificial intelligence into government operations.
The system is designed to streamline HR functions for more than 50,000 federal employees, improving service quality and efficiency. In its first phase, the assistant delivers 108 services, automates 80% of self-service HR procedures, and responds instantly to 80% of HR legislation inquiries. Officials estimate this will save about 170,000 working hours annually.
Powered by AI Agents technology, the assistant can execute tasks, process procedures, and provide accurate, personalized responses in both Arabic and English. It draws on data from the Bayanati HR information system and can interact with employees through written or voice-based interfaces without human involvement.
Employees can access the tool anytime through FAHR’s website or smart app, ensuring flexibility and ease of use.
Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future and Chairwoman of FAHR, said the launch reflects the UAE’s commitment to adopting advanced technologies that reshape federal HR management and position the country as a global leader in this field. She noted that the government will continue to build future-ready solutions that enhance services and employee experiences.
