Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed a major upgrade of wayfinding signage across all metro stations in partnership with Keolis–MHI, aiming to make daily journeys smoother and more user-friendly.
The project introduced clearer entry and exit signs, highlighted in bright yellow for visibility, along with improved platform indicators and floor stickers to guide passengers more efficiently. Around 9,000 signs were installed and replaced, requiring approximately 11,000 workhours.
Behavioural messages were also added across stations to encourage proper etiquette, ensuring a more comfortable travel experience. New boards were installed to clearly mark Women and Children cabins as well as Gold Class areas, reducing misuse and improving comfort.
To maintain consistency, the updates were extended to smart systems, mobile apps, train audio, and social media channels. The initiative reflects RTA’s strategy to enhance public transport services and increase commuter satisfaction across Dubai’s metro and tram networks.
