NCM forecasts intense heat, coastal humidity, and light winds
Dubai: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather update warning of extreme heat across the UAE today, with internal regions expected to sizzle under temperatures ranging from 44°C to 49°C.
Coastal areas and islands will also experience significant heat, with highs between 37°C and 42°C, while mountainous regions are forecast to reach between 32°C and 38°C.
Skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with low clouds forming along the eastern coast. Humid conditions are expected to develop overnight and into Monday morning, particularly along coastal regions, potentially increasing discomfort levels.
Winds will remain light to moderate, blowing from the southwest to northwest at speeds of 10 to 20 km/h, occasionally gusting up to 35 km/h. Sea conditions are forecast to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
Residents are advised to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged outdoor exposure during peak hours, and follow heat safety guidelines.
