6.1-magnitude earthquake strikes off southern Philippines

MANILA: A magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck deep off the southern coast of the Philippines on June 28, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage from the quake, which the USGS reported occurred at a depth of 101km about 70km from the nearest areas of Davao Occidental province.
