On 22 April 2024, I walked through the doors of Daily Times Newspaper having crossed and wailed through several international borders and today mark one full year working with this iconic trusted media house.
As I turn the Calander, I cannot help but reflect on the journey travelled thus far.
From the Philippines to Jordan, from Jordan to Kuwait, from Kuwait to Dubai and from the lights of Dubai to the Newsroom-Daily Times Newspaper- what a journey!
This has been a remarkable journey of professional growth, personal development, and unforgettable memories.
Stepping into the world of media marketing was both exciting and daunting, but looking back, I can confidently say that becoming a part of the Daily Times family was one of the most fulfilling decisions of my career.
When I joined the team, I was eager, curious, and ready to take on the challenges that came with promoting a brand as historic and influential as Daily Times Newspaper.
Over the past twelve months, I have had the privilege of working alongside some of the most talented and passionate individuals in the industry. From brainstorming creative campaigns to strategizing with the editorial team on brand alignment, every experience has sharpened my marketing skills and expanded my understanding of media dynamics.
The pace of the newsroom taught me resilience, adaptability, and the power of storytelling—not just in the news but in marketing too.
Each campaign we rolled out carried the weight of our brand’s legacy and the voices of those we serve, and that responsibility made me push boundaries and strive for excellence in every task.
The warmth, professionalism, and unwavering support of the Daily Times staff made me feel at home from day one.
From senior staff members to fellow marketers, every individual I interacted with contributed to my journey in ways big and small. Their patience, encouragement, and willingness to guide me were instrumental in helping me find my footing and eventually thrive in my role.
To my CEO and boss Mr Robert Joseph and fellow colleagues: thank you. Thank you for your mentorship, your camaraderie, and for believing in me.
Your spirit of collaboration and commitment to excellence have inspired me every single day. It is no surprise that Daily Times continues to be a pillar of trusted journalism—it is built by people who care deeply about their work and each other.
As I look ahead, I do so with renewed energy and an even greater sense of purpose. I’m excited about the future, the stories we’ll tell, and the impact we’ll continue to make—together.
Here’s to many more milestones with Daily Times. Grateful to be a part of this journey.
