Mohammed bin Rashid Library Donates 5,000 Books to National Service Recruits
In a significant move to foster a culture of reading, the Mohammed bin Rashid Library (MBRL) has donated 5,000 books in Arabic and English to national service recruits in the armed forces.

This initiative, part of the ongoing “A World Reads” program, aligns with the UAE’s Reading Month and underscores MBRL’s commitment to spreading knowledge across society.

Dr. Mohammed Salem Al Mazrooei, Board Member of the MBRL Foundation, highlighted that the initiative aims to empower young recruits with intellectual tools, preparing them to be future leaders.

“Encouraging reading among armed forces personnel strengthens their knowledge base and enhances their ability to tackle future challenges,”
he stated.

Since its launch in April 2023, “A World Reads” has impacted over 250,000 beneficiaries, with MBRL donating 80,000 books to more than 200 institutions and schools. The library continues to invite publishers and cultural organizations to contribute to the initiative, further expanding access to valuable literary resources.

With this donation, MBRL reaffirms its role in shaping an informed and creative society, ensuring that reading remains a fundamental pillar of personal and professional growth.
