Dubai Metro Nol Card Minimum Top-Up Increased to Dh20
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced an increase in the minimum top-up amount for Nol cards via ticket vending machines at Metro stations. Effective March 1, commuters must now add at least Dh20, up from the previous minimum of Dh5.
The Nol card is a widely used smart payment system that allows seamless travel across Dubai’s public transport network, including Metro, buses, trams, and water transport. The minimum top-up amount varies based on the recharge method. For instance, those recharging at Metro station ticket offices must add a minimum of Dh50.
Dubai commuters have multiple options to recharge their Nol cards, including vending machines, online platforms, and mobile applications. The RTA has been continuously expanding Nol card functionality. In December 2024, the authority extended Nol card usability to accredited e-scooters, further promoting Dubai’s shift towards a cashless economy.
Beyond transportation, Nol cards are widely accepted for retail transactions at supermarkets, restaurants, and other businesses, making them a convenient payment option for daily expenses.
For a complete guide on Nol card services and top-up options, commuters can visit the RTA’s official website.
