UAE private sector working hours reduced by 2 hours during Ramadan

Ramadan 2025 is expected to begin on Saturday, March 1 according to astronomers

Dubai: Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation on Monday tweeted that working hours for private-sector employees during Ramadan will be reduced by two hours daily.

The Ministry said: “In accordance with the requirements and nature of their work, companies may apply flexible or remote work patterns within the limits of the daily working hours during Ramadan.”

The UAE government announced on Sunday the Ramadan working times for public sector employees.

According to the circular, the official working hours for ministries and federal authorities will be from 9am to 2:30pm from Monday to Thursday, and from 9am to 12 noon on Friday.

Ramadan 2025 is expected to begin on Saturday, March 1, in most Islamic countries, according to astronomers.
