As Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) wraps up its biggest edition on September 1, UAE residents and visitors have one last chance to indulge in staycations, dining deals, live performances, gaming festivals, and shopping discounts of up to 90 percent.

After 65 days of excitement, the grand finale, hosted by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), promises a plethora of activities, ensuring something for everyone in the city.

Final Weekend Highlights
Indoor Mall Run: On September 1, Dubai Festival City Mall will turn into a race track, offering three courses of 2.5km, 5km, and 10km. Fitness enthusiasts and casual runners of all ages can participate in this indoor run. Registration is open on the DSS indoor run website.
Up to 90% Off: Shoppers can enjoy up to 90 percent off at over 550 brands across more than 2,500 outlets. Back-to-School deals are also available for families to prepare for the new academic year.
Gaming and Entertainment: Families can participate in a gaming festival at Nakheel Mall, watch a light and projection show at Dubai Festival City Mall, enjoy Minecraft activities at Ibn Battuta Mall, and slide for free at Mercato Mall. Dubai’s beloved character Modesh will make appearances at The View, Dragon Mart, and Mall of the Emirates.
Dining Delights
The DSS Summer Restaurant Week is offering limited-edition menus at over 60 dining destinations across Dubai until September 1. Diners can savor two-course lunch menus for just Dh95, three-course dinner meals at Dh150, and breakfast menus for Dh69. Reservations can be made via OpenTable, with a range of options from Michelin-starred restaurants to neighborhood favorites.

Cinema and Comedy
Roxy Cinemas is hosting the final schedule of family-friendly screenings as part of Movie Magic until September 1. On August 31, Egyptian comedian Saleh El Nawawy will perform a stand-up show at Roxy Xtreme, Dubai Hills Mall. Families can also catch Magic Phil’s one-man show at Dubai Hills Mall on the same day. Additionally, Lego enthusiasts can visit a pop-up Legoland Dubai activation until September 1.

Music and Live Performances
The final weekend of DSS will feature live music performances, including Bollywood star Shaan at Coca-Cola Arena on August 31, Iranian pop sensation Reza Sadeghi at Zabeel Theatre on August 29, and Filipino band Parokya Ni Edgar at Coca-Cola Arena on September 1. Comedy lovers can attend a night of laughter with GCC’s first Filipina stand-up comedian Imah Dumagay at Zabeel Theatre on August 31, followed by Sudanese Comedy Night on September 1.

Literary Events
Families can also join the free-to-attend “Stories Alive” celebration of the written and spoken word at City Centre Mirdif on August 30 and 31.
