Young delivery rider paralysed after accident in UAE gets Dh 5 million compensation

Dubai: The parents of a young grocery delivery rider, who was left completely paralysed after a hit-and-run accident in the UAE when he was just 22, have received a glimmer of hope for their only son’s future care and recovery after he received a Dh5 million compensation.

Though the accident took place early in 2022, the parents of Shifin Ummer Kummali, now 24, received the full compensation on behalf of their son this week after completing all legal procedures.
