DUBAI,  The World Governments Summit (WGS) 2026 in Dubai delivered more than high-level dialogue; it offered a refined hospitality experience that beautifully fused authentic Emirati traditions with contemporary sophistication.

Throughout the summit, the UAE showcased its ability to elevate hospitality beyond service into a rich cultural and human experience befitting a global platform of leaders, innovators, and policymakers. The Emirati hospitality model on display reflected a nation deeply rooted in heritage while confidently embracing modernity.

From traditional reception customs to culinary artistry and the ceremonial preparation of Arabic coffee, every element embodied a thoughtful blend of past and present. The experience demonstrated how time-honoured Emirati values can be reimagined to align with the UAE’s role as a global hub for dialogue and cooperation.

A highlight of the summit was the participation of emerging Emirati culinary talents representing the future of national hospitality. Chefs Hoda, Maitha, and Khawla curated distinctive menus that merged international influences with authentic Emirati flavours.

Hoda impressed guests with bold global fusions, while Maitha delighted attendees with Italian-inspired cuisine and specialised desserts infused with an Emirati touch. Khawla focused on balanced, health-conscious creations that combined nutritional awareness with artistic presentation.

Chef Al Hassan Al Falasi added a dynamic perspective by reviving traditional Emirati recipes through modern culinary techniques. Drawing on professional training in hospitality and food safety, he demonstrated how heritage cuisine can achieve international recognition without compromising its authenticity.

Coffee, an enduring symbol of Emirati culture, was also redefined. Emirati baristas elevated the experience with craftsmanship and storytelling. Rashid Al Mazrouei delivered a meticulous speciality coffee journey marked by precision and passion, while Sarhan Al Karbi introduced innovative concepts that reflect the UAE’s evolving coffee culture.

Entrepreneurship was equally celebrated. Shaima Al Marzouqi and her business partner showcased their Emirati brand, Miva, founded in 2018. Their gelato creations—featuring flavours inspired by global travels—highlight the growing ambition of Emirati women transforming creativity into thriving enterprises.

Ultimately, hospitality at WGS 2026 was not an accompaniment to the summit—it was central to its identity. By seamlessly merging tradition with innovation, the UAE presented a global benchmark for refined hospitality rooted in cultural pride and forward-looking vision.
