The conflict between Iran, Israel and the United States continues to escalate, with fresh military operations reported across multiple fronts in the Middle East.

Israel confirmed it is carrying out what it described as “simultaneous strikes” in Tehran and Beirut, targeting Iranian military facilities as well as positions linked to the Iran-backed group Hezbollah. Israeli officials said the strikes are aimed at degrading Iran’s operational capabilities and disrupting its regional proxy network.

In Tehran, Iranian authorities have not released detailed assessments of the damage, but state media reported air defence systems were activated in several areas of the capital. In Lebanon, explosions were reported in parts of Beirut’s southern suburbs, a known stronghold of Hezbollah.

Iran, meanwhile, has continued to launch strikes against US allies in the region, widening fears of a broader regional war. Military installations and strategic infrastructure in several Gulf and Levant states remain on heightened alert as retaliatory exchanges intensify.

The United States has taken additional precautionary measures. The United States Department of State ordered the mandatory departure of non-emergency personnel from six Middle Eastern countries, citing growing security risks. American citizens across the region have been urged to leave immediately or shelter in place if departure is not possible.

US President Donald Trump told CNN that “the biggest surprise” of the war so far has been Iran’s attacks against Arab countries in the region. He also warned that the “big wave” of the US offensive against Iran is yet to come.

According to Trump, Washington’s objectives include destroying Iran’s missile capabilities, dismantling its naval power, ending its nuclear ambitions and preventing it from arming militant groups across the Middle East. However, analysts note that messaging from the administration has shifted since the start of the operation, with varying statements about the scope and duration of US involvement.

Regional governments remain on high alert as diplomatic efforts struggle to gain traction. With Israel expanding its strikes, Iran continuing retaliatory attacks, and the United States signaling further military action, the conflict shows little sign of immediate de-escalation. The risk of a prolonged and wider regional confrontation continues to grow.
