The UAE is bracing for another sweltering day as temperatures are expected to reach 43°C in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi on Thursday, June 12, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

Forecasters said the weather will generally remain fair with clouds forming in the eastern region. However, the heat is set to intensify across the country, particularly in internal areas where highs could soar to 46°C.

The NCM also warned of increasing humidity by Thursday night and into Friday morning, especially along coastal areas, with a chance of mist forming in some parts. Humidity levels in coastal and island areas are expected to vary between 15 and 80 percent.

Winds will be light to moderate, blowing southeast to northwest, occasionally picking up during the day and causing some blowing dust. Wind speeds may reach up to 35km/h.

Sea conditions will remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.

Elsewhere, Sharjah is also forecast to bake under a high of 43°C, with nighttime temperatures dipping to 28°C.
