Dubai: As the UAE continues to face sweltering summer conditions, today’s weather brings a mix of intense heat, hazy, sunshine, and a potential for localized rainfall, according to forecasts from AccuWeather and the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).
In Dubai, residents can expect hazy, sunshine with a high of 41°C, while tonight will be clear with temperatures dipping to 32°C.
Abu Dhabi will be slightly hotter with plenty of sunshine and a high of 42°C. Skies will turn clear to partly cloudy by night, with a low of 32°C.
However, the NCM has issued a broader national forecast, highlighting partly cloudy to cloudy conditions over some eastern and southern areas, where rainfall is possible. This marks a shift from the persistent dry heat dominating much of the UAE in recent weeks.
The NCM has also issued a public safety advisory, urging residents to remain cautious, especially if rainfall occurs:
Avoid driving unless necessary; drive cautiously if you must travel.
Use low-beam headlights when visibility is reduced.
Stay updated through official weather channels and be ready to comply with any instructions from authorities.
Do not circulate unverified weather information or rumors.
The advisory comes after the highest temperature recorded yesterday reached 44.6°C in Sweihan, Al Ain, at 4pm.
Winds will be light to moderate, occasionally strengthening during the day, with speeds reaching up to 45 km/h, potentially kicking up blowing dust across southeastern to northwestern areas.
Maritime conditions remain calm, with slight seas expected in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
Stay tuned to official updates from the NCM as weather conditions may change, particularly in areas forecasted for rain.
