KUWAIT, 8th April, 2025 (WAM) — The United Arab Emirates, represented by the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE), will participate in the Joint Annual Meeting of Arab Financial Institutions, which will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, in Kuwait.
The meetings will discuss the future of Arab financial and economic cooperation, annual reports, and the financial performance review for 2024, as well as the adoption of development plans for the upcoming period, in light of growing global challenges and changes in the international financial landscape.
The UAE delegation is led by Khaled Mohamed Balama, CBUAE Governor, and includes Younis Haji Al Khoori, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance; Ibrahim Obaid Al Zaabi, Assistant Governor of CBUAE – Monetary Policy Sector; Ali Abdullah Sharafi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for International Financial Relations at the Ministry; Thuraiya Hamid Alhashmi, Director of the International Financial Relations and Organisations Department at the Ministry; and Azza Ali Al Jasmi, Director of Government Communication at the Ministry.
