The United Arab Emirates has reinforced its global standing after ranking among the world’s top ten countries in the 2026 Global Soft Power Index by Brand Finance, marking the fourth consecutive year it has achieved this position.
The announcement was made during the World Economic Forum meetings in Davos, Switzerland, underscoring international recognition of the UAE’s expanding influence and reputation at a time of shifting global dynamics. The index assessed 193 countries and drew on insights from more than 150,000 respondents worldwide, including business leaders, policymakers, and opinion shapers.
According to the report, the UAE ranked tenth globally overall, second in generosity, third in future economic growth potential, and eighth in diplomatic influence. The country maintained its ranking despite declining performance among several major economies, while recording gains in international reputation and global visibility.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said the results reflect growing global confidence in the UAE’s development model and its steadily built economic, social, and governance systems. He noted that under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the country’s global presence continues to strengthen.
Brand Finance highlighted the UAE’s consistent performance across governance, security, sustainability, and economic competitiveness, alongside its strong record in business, trade, and international relations. Improvements were also noted in culture and societal values, driven by long-term efforts in cultural diplomacy, openness, and coexistence.
The report further ranked the UAE among the world’s leading investment destinations, citing its stable business environment, adaptability to global economic shifts, and strong investor confidence. Collectively, the findings reinforce the UAE’s position as a trusted global partner and an influential economic and diplomatic hub.
