UAE Ranked Among Top Countries for Healthcare Quality in Global Rankings
In 2025, the UAE continues to solidify its position as a global healthcare leader, securing first place globally in the number of accredited healthcare facilities.
This achievement underscores the country’s robust healthcare system, grounded in international standards and enhanced pandemic preparedness, making it one of the world’s top destinations for quality healthcare.
The UAE’s exceptional performance extends beyond facility numbers, with the country achieving significant strides in healthcare quality indicators. It ranks among the top 10 globally in 21 key health indicators, showcasing progress in basic healthcare outcomes, infrastructure, and preventive healthcare.
A key factor driving the UAE’s dominance is its consistent investment in healthcare infrastructure. For the 2025 fiscal year, the government allocated AED 5.745 billion—8% of the federal budget—towards healthcare and community prevention services, demonstrating a sustained commitment to the sector’s development.
The country’s advancement is also powered by its comprehensive national health strategy, a focus on digital transformation, and growing medical tourism. With healthcare spending projected to reach AED 151 billion by 2029, the UAE’s dedication to enhancing healthcare services and infrastructure remains unwavering.
One of the notable highlights of the UAE’s healthcare achievements is the 5-Star Rating awarded to Fakeeh University Hospital, Dubai, by Newsweek & Statista. CEO Mohaymen Abdelghany emphasized that the hospital’s ranking reflects its excellence in patient care, clinical innovation, and global standards.
Looking ahead, the UAE plans to invest AED 118 billion in healthcare by 2027, reinforcing the nation’s goal to lead in medical services while nurturing public-private partnerships. As healthcare spending grows, the UAE’s position as a global healthcare powerhouse is set to strengthen even further.
