ABU DHABI: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed a delegation from Canada’s McGill University at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi, reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to advancing education through international partnerships.
His Highness highlighted the importance of building strong collaborations between UAE educational institutions and leading global universities, noting that such partnerships are essential for nurturing national talent — the country’s greatest asset and the driving force behind its sustainable future.
The McGill University delegation, which included senior officials, expressed their gratitude for the President’s continued support of the McGill–UAE Fellowships programme. Launched in 2015, the initiative empowers Emirati students to pursue advanced studies in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics at McGill’s Faculties of Science and Engineering.
Delegation members also praised His Highness’ unwavering commitment to enhancing educational opportunities in the UAE. The meeting was attended by several Sheikhs, ministers, and senior officials.
