United Arab Emirates leaders have marked the beginning of Ramadan with messages of goodwill, reflection and unity.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, extended his congratulations to citizens, residents and Muslims worldwide, highlighting the spiritual significance of the holy month.
He said Ramadan is a time for reflection and generosity, and an opportunity to strengthen bonds within families and communities. His message emphasised unity, compassion and shared values during this sacred period.
Similarly, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, conveyed warm wishes to the people of the UAE and to Arab and Muslim communities around the world.
He described Ramadan as a blessed season of generosity, compassion, family connection and spiritual reflection, praying for peace, security, good health and the acceptance of good deeds.
Ramadan officially begins on Thursday, ushering in a month devoted to fasting, prayer, charity and community across the UAE and the wider Muslim world.
