The UAE has launched the International Judicial Cooperation Service, a major digital initiative aimed at simplifying and accelerating cross-border judicial procedures through a unified platform connecting local and foreign authorities.

Announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, the service is part of the second phase of the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme, which seeks to enhance public service delivery by cutting administrative red tape.

The platform digitally links MoFA, the Ministry of Justice, UAE diplomatic missions abroad, and foreign missions accredited to the UAE. It enables the secure exchange of judicial requests and related documents in just three steps, significantly reducing the delays of traditional processes.

The initiative supports the UAE’s broader strategy to modernise governance through inter-agency integration and user-centric services. It also builds on previous achievements, including MoFA’s award-winning Smart Mission project, which eliminated 80% of its bureaucratic procedures, and the Ministry of Justice’s recognition as the Best Government Team.

Omar Obaid Alhesan Alshamsi, Undersecretary of MoFA, said the move reflects the UAE’s leadership vision and commitment to delivering efficient, high-quality government services that meet international standards and enhance societal well-being.
