The UAE Accountability Authority, led by its President Humaid Obaid Khalifa Obaid Abushibs, has advanced bilateral ties with China through a strategic visit aimed at boosting collaboration in oversight, auditing, and anti-corruption efforts.
During the official visit, Abushibs held several high-level meetings with senior Chinese officials, including Liu Jinguo and Fu Kui of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission of China. The discussions centered on developing stronger institutional frameworks for investigating administrative and financial violations, reinforcing transparency and accountability across public sectors.
A key highlight of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Abushibs and Hou Kai, Auditor General of the National Audit Office of China. The agreement outlines cooperation in auditing practices, technical knowledge exchange, and joint training programmes designed to strengthen professional capabilities and institutional efficiency.
The MoU also promotes the integration of advanced technologies and artificial intelligence in auditing processes to enhance financial analysis and oversight. Both nations emphasized that this collaboration supports their shared goals of good governance and sustainable development.
The new partnership marks a significant step in UAE-China relations, setting the stage for long-term cooperation in building robust oversight systems that reflect transparency, integrity, and innovation.
