His Excellency (Rtd) Lt Gen Yacoub Hassan Mohammed, Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania who resides in UAE yesterday officially presented his credentials to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain at the Royal Palace in Manama.
The ceremony, held at the King’s Palace, marked a significant diplomatic gesture, strengthening the cordial relations between Tanzania and Bahrain. Ambassador Hassan Mohammed, though based in Abu Dhabi, is accredited to several Gulf countries and will now formally represent Tanzania in Bahrain.
During the meeting, Ambassador Hassan conveyed warm greetings from Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan and reaffirmed Tanzania’s commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, tourism, and cultural exchange.
King Hamad welcomed the ambassador and expressed Bahrain’s interest in enhancing ties with Tanzania, particularly in the areas of economic development and diplomatic collaboration.
The presentation of credentials is a formal diplomatic tradition that signifies the ambassador’s full assumption of duties in the host country.
The event was attended by senior Bahraini officials and members of the diplomatic corps.
