Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Tanzanian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) His Excellency Lt. Gen. Yacub Mohammed, on Friday welcomed a delegation from the Daily Times newspaper in a meeting aimed at fostering media collaboration and enhancing awareness of UAE regulations among Tanzanian citizens.
The company which runs print, digital and broadcasting services was represented by its CEO, Mr Joseph Waryoba.
During the high-level engagement, the Ambassador commended the Daily Times for its commitment to delivering credible news and encouraged the publication to serve as a bridge of information between the UAE and Tanzania.
Her emphasized the importance of educating Tanzanian expatriates and potential visitors on the country’s policies, laws, and cultural expectations to ensure a smooth experience for those living and working in the UAE.
“The media plays a crucial role in shaping public awareness, and we believe that the Daily Times can be instrumental in informing our people about the rules and policies governing life in the UAE,” said the Ambassador.
In response, Mr Joseph expressed gratitude for the warm reception and assured the Ambassador of their dedication to accurate and timely reporting and highlighted his interest in publishing informative articles on employment laws, visa regulations, and cultural integration for Tanzanians in the UAE.
The meeting was held at the sideline of the Tanzanian Diaspora in the UAE Special IFTAR gathering at the Tanzanian Embassy.
