The Tanzania Trade & Logistics Forum ( TANFORD) has officially opened a groundbreaking competition designed to uplift young Tanzanians and help them turn their innovative ideas into thriving businesses.
The initiative, which targets youth under the age of 35, aims to inspire entrepreneurship, stimulate creativity, and position Tanzanian innovators on the global economic stage.
The organisers of the competition , have encouraged young people across the country to seize this life-changing opportunity.
They emphasized that the competition is not only about winning but also about cultivating a generation of forward-thinking entrepreneurs who can contribute meaningfully to Tanzania’s economic transformation.
To enter, participants are required to record a short video of no more than two minutes, showcasing their creativity and business idea. In the video, they must explain the problem their idea addresses and how their proposed solution will work. The organisers noted that the clarity, originality, and potential impact of the idea will be key evaluation points.
Beyond receiving support to launch their own businesses, the competition winners will receive an exclusive two-way air ticket to Dubai and a three-night stay.
During this trip, they will have the extraordinary opportunity to address international business delegates at the Tanford Conference, scheduled to take place in Dubai on 13-14 February next year 2026. This stage will allow young Tanzanian innovators to pitch their ideas to global stakeholders and potentially attract partners or investors.
Interested participants are encouraged to submit their videos through the Tanford Social media platforms. The competition is already open, and submissions close on 31 December 2025.
The organisers expressed confidence that this initiative will not only empower the youth but also strengthen Tanzania’s footprint in international economic development.
