ISLAMABAD,- A magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck several parts of Pakistan early Saturday, sending tremors across major cities including Islamabad.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 190 kilometres, with its epicentre located in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan.
Residents reported feeling tremors in northern areas such as Peshawar, Chitral, Swat Valley, and Shangla District.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority confirmed that the tremor was also felt in parts of Punjab province, including Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Jhang, Mianwali, Pothohar Plateau, and Sargodha.
Authorities have reported no casualties or damage to property following the quake.
