Sharjah24: As part of its annual Zakki campaign, the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF) gave Zakat and Ramadan food aid worth about AED 2 million to 1,167 needy households in Sharjah’s Central and Eastern districts. The project, which intended to meet the basic requirements of orphans throughout the holy month, helped a total of 2,710 of them.
Reducing financial challenges for orphan families
The foundation’s Ramadan programs aim to minimise financial hardship for orphan families, allowing them to enjoy the holy month in a secure and dignified atmosphere

Mona Bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director General of SSEF, underlined that assistance was offered after a comprehensive assessment of each family’s requirements.

“To ensure aid reaches those most in need, funds were directly deposited into beneficiaries’ bank accounts, while some families received checks based on their living standards and household size,” she added.

A commitment to social solidarity
The Zakki initiative will continue throughout Ramadan, providing ongoing financial support to orphan families, relieving their responsibilities, and assisting them in overcoming hurdles during this holy month.
