Road Traffic Authority’s (RTA) quest to align it’s operations to meet Dubai Urban Plan 2040 was endorsed yesterday.
The Higher Committee for Strategic Planning and Corporate Transformation at RTA chaired by His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Director General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA, endorsed the updated Strategic Plan which seeks to compliment Dubai’s dream of becoming the world’s best city.
The updated plan follows a directive by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council to under take projects that seek to promote the economy as well as enhancing wellbeing and happiness of Dubai’s residents and visitors.
The RTA’ strategic plan also seeks to keep the Authorities’ abreast to international trends in roads and transport while also keeping in pace with the Government’s Vision “We the UAE 2031”.
