Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in partnership with the Department of Economy and Tourism, has introduced a new Executive Regulation governing tourist transport in the emirate.
The move is designed to elevate service quality, safety, and comfort while reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global tourism hub.
Issued under Administrative Decision No. (97) of 2025, the regulation builds on Executive Council Resolution No. (107) of 2023 and establishes an integrated system to streamline operations across the sector.
The RTA will oversee permits for tourist transport companies, registration and renewal of vehicles, and professional licences for drivers. Applications will be processed through its approved service centres to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Officials noted the initiative aligns with Dubai’s long-term tourism strategy, aiming to boost visitor experiences and support the emirate’s economic growth. Industry players are expected to benefit from higher service standards and clearer regulatory frameworks that enhance the competitiveness of the sector.
This development reflects Dubai’s commitment to international best practices in tourism and transport, ensuring visitors enjoy a safe and premium travel experience.
