Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed the rollout of free Wi-Fi across 43 key public transport stations in partnership with e&, significantly enhancing connectivity for daily commuters.
The service, now live at 21 public bus stations and 22 marine transport stations, allows passengers to access the internet through smartphones, tablets, and laptops while traveling. It forms part of RTA’s broader digital transformation strategy aimed at improving public services and aligning with the UAE’s vision for a tech-forward future.
By integrating seamless connectivity into everyday journeys, RTA hopes to make public transport more attractive and enjoyable for residents and visitors alike. Officials say the initiative also supports Dubai’s long-term ambition to become the world’s smartest and happiest city.
