RTA Approves New Driver Training and Licensing Centre at Al Rowaiyah 3
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the approval of a new driver training and licensing centre at Al Rowaiyah 3 (Sector No. 5), operated by First Driving Centre.
The new facility forms part of RTA’s ongoing efforts to expand service coverage and improve access to driver training and licensing services for residents in key areas across the emirate.
According to RTA, the addition of this centre brings the total number of driver licensing service locations under its umbrella to 28, reflecting the authority’s continued focus on enhancing customer experience and meeting the growing demand for transportation-related services.
The centre is equipped to offer a wide range of services, including opening traffic files, conducting theoretical and practical driving tests, delivering lectures, and issuing licences for light vehicles and motorcycles, both manual and automatic. Plans are also underway to extend services to include licensing for heavy vehicles, buses, and mechanical equipment in the near future.
RTA stated that the centre was established in collaboration with First Driving Centre and is designed to meet high-quality standards in line with Dubai’s urban development goals. The facility features upgraded infrastructure, modern customer service areas, and improved on-site amenities to ensure a streamlined experience for applicants.
Operational hours for the new centre are from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, Monday through Thursday and on Saturdays. On Fridays, the centre operates from 7:00 am to 12:30 pm and resumes service from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. It remains closed on Sundays, with the exception of pre-scheduled practical training sessions.
The launch of the new centre supports RTA’s broader strategy to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of public services and aligns with Dubai’s commitment to improving quality of life for its residents through smart and reliable infrastructure.
