The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in coordination with Dubai Police General Headquarters, has announced that trucks will be permitted to operate around the clock on all roads across Dubai until the evening of March 4, 2026.
The temporary measure is aimed at supporting the logistics sector and ensuring the smooth flow of supply chains across the emirate. During this period, transport operators and businesses will benefit from unrestricted truck movement, offering greater flexibility for timely deliveries.
However, authorities clarified that the exemption does not apply to the Airport Tunnel and the Al Shindagha Tunnel. Existing traffic restrictions will remain in place in these key corridors to safeguard road safety and maintain efficient traffic flow.
Standard truck movement regulations will resume on Thursday, March 5, 2026, in accordance with approved rules.
The RTA and Dubai Police have urged truck drivers and transport companies to strictly adhere to traffic instructions and cooperate fully with authorities during the temporary exemption period to uphold safety standards across Dubai’s road network.
The decision underscores ongoing efforts by Dubai’s transport and law enforcement authorities to balance economic activity with public safety while strengthening the emirate’s critical logistics infrastructure.
