Dubai, March 5, 2026 – The Philippine ambassador to the UAE, Alfonso Ver, has reassured the nearly one million Filipinos living in the Emirates that the situation across the country remains calm and stable, with no casualties reported.
Speaking to Philippine radio programme DZMM, Ambassador Ver urged residents to stay informed and rely only on official sources. “Do not worry, the situation here in the UAE continues to be calm and we do not have any casualties so far,” he said in Filipino.
Ver emphasized the UAE government’s ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of all residents, regardless of nationality, and encouraged the public to avoid spreading unverified reports that could cause unnecessary concern. He also thanked Filipino organisations and individuals who have helped counter misinformation circulating on social media.
Highlighting the Filipino community’s solidarity with the UAE leadership, Ver said: “We are so fortunate that we are living under the mantle of protection of this great country.” He reaffirmed that Filipinos stand firmly with the UAE and expressed gratitude for the country’s continued efforts to safeguard all nationals.
The Philippine embassy in Abu Dhabi remains fully operational, with officials advising residents to exercise caution when sharing personal information amid reports of imposters claiming to represent the embassy or migrant workers offices. The embassy urged the public to verify all communications through official channels before responding.
With nearly a million Filipinos residing in the UAE, Ver assured that measures are in place to ensure the safety of the entire community.
