Emergency response teams arrived quickly to provide medical aid and manage traffic flow
Fujairah: On Wednesday evening, a serious Multi-Vehicle Pileup collision involving 16 cars and four trucks blocked the road to Dibba Al-Fujairah. The accident happened between Waeeb Al-Hinna and Dibba, causing heavy traffic and a complete road closure.
As soon as the emergency call was received, police patrols from Dibba Al-Fujairah, supported by traffic officers, teams from Masafi Police Station, and National Ambulance crews, rushed to the scene. They quickly helped the injured, organised traffic, and worked hard to reopen the road for drivers.
The accident left nine people injured—eight with minor injuries and one with moderate injuries. All of them were taken to the hospital for treatment and received the necessary medical care.
Initial investigation showed that the accident began when a car caught fire, causing other vehicles to slow down. A speeding truck then crashed into the slowing vehicles.
Police have started an investigation to find out what caused the crash. Early signs suggest drivers may not have kept enough safe distance between their vehicles.
The Fujairah Police General Command reminds all drivers to stay alert, stick to speed limits, and always keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front—especially on mountain roads and busy areas.
