Dubai’s Museum of the Future is nearing five million visitors as it celebrates four years since opening, underscoring its rapid rise as a global hub for innovation, knowledge exchange and future-focused dialogue.
The milestone highlights the institution’s growing international influence and its role in positioning the UAE as a leader in shaping conversations about the future of humanity.
Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Chairman of the Museum of the Future, said the UAE has made designing the future a shared global goal by bringing together thinkers, innovators and communities to develop solutions that benefit future generations. He noted that the museum, inspired by the vision of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has evolved into a knowledge-driven ecosystem that transforms ideas into practical programmes and experiences.
Since opening on February 22, 2022, the museum has hosted 620 events and conferences covering artificial intelligence, sustainable cities, education, healthcare, technology and the future of work. It has also delivered 224 educational programmes and workshops targeting students, professionals and entrepreneurs.
In 2025 alone, the venue welcomed nine heads of state and 46 ministers, reinforcing its status as a platform for high-level global engagement. Flagship initiatives such as the Dubai Future Forum and the Future Talks series have further strengthened its international reach, alongside initiatives supporting Arab talent, including the Great Arab Minds programme.
During the World Governments Summit 2026, Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum directed the museum to become the permanent home of the World Preservation Lab and BioVault, developed with Colossal Biosciences to advance biotechnology research and species preservation.
Standing 77 metres tall with a LEED Platinum-certified sustainable design, the museum continues to expand its global impact as it enters its fifth year, aiming to foster collaboration, innovation and scientific optimism for a more sustainable future.
