MoHRE Urges Private Sector to Meet 2024 Emiratisation Targets Before End of December 2024
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has reiterated its call for private-sector companies subject to Emiratisation policies to meet their 2024 targets by December’s end.

Non-compliant firms will face financial contributions starting January 1, 2025.

Establishments with 50 or more workers must ensure a 2% increase in skilled Emirati employees by year-end. Non-compliance will result in a financial contribution of AED96,000 per unfulfilled Emiratisation position. Additionally, smaller firms employing 20 to 49 workers in 14 specified sectors must employ at least one Emirati or retain existing Emirati employees.

The Ministry emphasized its commitment to supporting firms through initiatives like the Nafis platform, enabling companies to connect with Emirati job-seekers. Compliant establishments can access incentives, including up to 80% discounts on Ministry fees and priority in government procurement through the Emiratisation Partners Club.

Highlighting the program’s success, MoHRE noted that over 117,000 Emiratis now work in 22,000 private-sector firms, contributing to the UAE’s strategic goals of a knowledge-based, innovation-driven economy.

MoHRE also urged job-seekers to verify job offers’ authenticity to avoid fraudulent Emiratisation schemes. Citizens are encouraged to report violations via the Ministry’s helpline, app, or website.

This initiative underscores the UAE’s commitment to integrating Emirati talent into the private sector and advancing its sustainable development goals.
