MBRHE and Dubai Municipality Introduce Standardized Contracts to Streamline Private Villa Projects
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MBRHE) has partnered with Dubai Municipality to introduce standardized contracts aimed at simplifying and regulating private villa construction.

These contracts, designed for landlords, consultants, and contractors, provide a clear framework that defines responsibilities, fostering transparency and trust while minimizing disputes.

By outlining obligations in a structured manner, the initiative supports smooth project execution, reduces legal and financial conflicts, and offers flexibility to adapt to evolving stakeholder needs. Aligned with Dubai Municipality’s vision for a sustainable construction sector, this step enhances the quality and efficiency of housing projects.

To ensure effective implementation, MBRHE and Dubai Municipality will host a series of awareness workshops. These sessions will educate stakeholders on the benefits of standardized contracts, best practices for engaging with consultants and developers, and how to access contract copies through multiple open channels.

The initiative introduces two contract versions: one for agreements with engineering consultancy firms during the villa design phase and another for construction companies handling execution. This clarity helps property owners better understand contractual terms, facilitating timely project completion.

Haitham Al Khaja, Director of Communication and Marketing at MBRHE, emphasized that the collaboration reinforces efforts to enhance housing stability for Emirati families.

“We aim to empower customers with well-structured contracts that safeguard their rights and ensure high-quality construction,”
he stated.

Echoing this sentiment, M. Abdullah Al Shizawi, Director of the Building Control Department at Dubai Municipality, highlighted that the initiative promotes an advanced contractual framework that enhances customer satisfaction and safeguards stakeholders’ interests.

MBRHE encourages property owners to participate in upcoming awareness workshops.
