A federal jury has found 35-year-old Tiron Alexander guilty of fraudulently posing as a flight attendant to obtain dozens of free airline flights over several years, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Tuesday.

On June 5, Alexander was convicted of wire fraud and unlawfully entering secure areas of airports under false pretenses. Evidence presented during the trial revealed that between 2018 and 2024, he used an airline’s employee booking system—intended only for active crew members—to take 34 unpaid flights, pretending to be a flight attendant.

Prosecutors showed that Alexander exploited the system by claiming to work for seven different airlines, using about 30 fake badge numbers and hire dates. He allegedly used this deception to access more than 120 flights in total.

Jurors also learned that Alexander impersonated airline crew on at least three other carriers during the course of the scam.

Sentencing is scheduled for August 25, 2025. U.S. District Judge Jacqueline Becerra will determine the penalty based on federal guidelines and other relevant factors.

The investigation was led by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and the case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Michael C. Shepherd, Zachary A. Keller, and Andres E. Chinchilla.

U.S. Attorney Hayden P. O’Byrne and Supervisory Air Marshal Antonio L. Pittman announced the conviction.
