Khalifa University of Science and Technology has introduced a new full-time Bachelor’s degree program in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) aimed at equipping students with the skills and knowledge to excel in the rapidly growing fields of robotics and AI.
The interdisciplinary program combines theoretical learning with practical experience in robotics, AI, computer, electronic and mechanical engineering, and mathematics, preparing graduates for diverse career opportunities.
The curriculum includes the latest advancements in AI and robotics, allowing students to explore trends such as autonomous vehicles, drones, and human-robot interaction.
The program also focuses on healthcare robotics and AI systems for surgical assistance, rehabilitation, and elderly care. Students will engage in projects that involve creating prototypes for applications in manufacturing and hazardous environment exploration, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Dr. Bayan Sharif, Provost of Khalifa University, emphasized the program’s role in empowering students to tackle global challenges and contribute to the UAE’s knowledge-based economy.
The program leverages Khalifa University’s state-of-the-art robotics laboratories, where students gain hands-on experience with the latest technology. The curriculum also covers foundational courses in mathematics, computer science, and AI ethics, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for the future of technological advancement.
