Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) is fortifying its position as a global logistics powerhouse with a strategic AED90 million investment in Phase 2 of its state-of-the-art Logistics Park.
Adding 360,000 square feet of premium facilities, this expansion aligns with the UAE’s ambitious goal of growing its logistics sector to AED200 billion annually within the next seven years. It further strengthens Dubai’s role as a critical hub for international trade.
Phase 2 introduces world-class infrastructure, including modern offices, customisable units, temperature-controlled warehouses, advanced loading docks, and enhanced power capacity to support diverse industries.
Abdulla Al Hashmi, Chief Operating Officer of Parks & Zones at DP World GCC, emphasized Jafza’s commitment to fostering global business growth and attracting foreign investment. He noted that Phase 1 was fully leased before completion, underscoring the high demand for top-tier logistics and warehousing solutions. With this latest expansion, Jafza Logistics Park now spans over 922,000 square feet.
The expansion comes amid a surge in demand for advanced warehousing, driven by the rapid growth of manufacturing, logistics, construction, and e-commerce. The Middle East and Africa’s freight and logistics market is projected to reach $235.8 billion by 2031, with Dubai at the forefront of this transformation.
Jafza currently hosts 10,890 companies from 150 countries, supporting over 160,000 jobs and contributing AED620 billion in trade annually.
Phase 1, completed in November 2023, covers 562,507 square feet and includes Grade-A dry and pharma storage, temperature-controlled warehouses, and modern office spaces. With Phase 2, Jafza continues to bridge the infrastructure gap, fueling economic growth and solidifying Dubai’s status as a global trade and logistics hub.
